A historic southern plantation
The Inn at Willow Grove is only a short drive from the Main Street Showroom, and while we had previously dined at their Vintage Restaurant, Jessica and I realized we were not familiar with the Inn's wedding facilities. On Thursday, we ventured to Willow Grove for a tour with Gabrielle. When we first pulled up to the inn, we were blown away by all the beauty and charm that the venue had to offer, not mention the major history behind the plantation and estate.
We first started our tour at The Boxwood Garden, It is the perfect ceremony space, the gardens are shaded by giant trees, surrounded by blooming shrubs and edged with century-old boxwoods. The gardens are a GORGEOUS setting for ceremonies for up to 150 guests. Then we entered The Hall a beautiful intimate space with a stone-clad gas fireplace and French doors with picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. The Hall can hold up to 50 guests, perfect for a small wedding or a rehearsal dinner.
Next we hopped on the golf cart and headed over to The Barn and Ruins. The Barn is an elegant version of a rustic big red barn. It has wood beaming ceilings, stone-clad fireplace, chiavari chairs, perfect for a wedding reception for up to 150 guests. They include several amenities, including high-end table linen and china. The adjoining Ruins are an added outdoor bonus. Most brides use this space to hold dancing, outdoor activities for guest, or a backup ceremony spot if it rains.
Another great aspect to choosing Willow Grove Inn for your wedding is the fact that you, the bridal party, and guest can all stay in the suites, or guest rooms right on sites. There are many gorgeous views throughout the property including "the overlook" which is the view from a cottage at the top of the property. We are so fortunate to be so close to such a high-class venue, and hope to have the opportunity to help a bride plan her special day at Willow Grove!
