4 tips for making a delicious sweet or savory clafoutis

Vary the fruits ...
Change some cherries and make a delicious clafoutis with apricots or plums. Peaches, raspberries, kiwis, apples ... All fruits lend themselves to it, including citrus fruits, enjoy! No time to shop and friends arrive soon for dinner? Open a box of pears in syrup. And then trade the traditional amandine pie for a clafoutis. For more originality, prefer lychees or a mixture of fruits exotic. To enjoy with a scoop of ice cream with vanilla or coconut!

... And the vegetables !
The clafoutis is a great way to make people eat vegetables to the whole family. Forget the gratins and pies already seen and reviewed, and choose again for a clafoutis. Make one with zucchini-feta-basil. Or replace the Greek cheese with parmesan cheese, goat cheese or mozzarella cheese. Another idea: do you have some cherry tomatoes on your balcony? Use them to make a clafoutis and add sundried tomatoes to enhance the taste of your recipe. Finally, to accompany a green salad sprinkled with balsamic vinegar, serve a clafoutis three cheeses.

Customize your recipe
Whether it's a salty or sweet recipe, do not hesitate to customize your recipe. In one clafoutis with pears or apples, add flaked almonds, raisins and a drizzle of honey. For gourmets, incorporate some chocolate chips or Nutella. Otherwise, chips of nougatine or grated coconut will do just fine. Finally, enhance your dessert apricot with lavender jelly and a few sprigs for decoration. On the other hand, on a clafoutis salted, add a hint of Espelette pepper, herbs such as mint or basil, black olives, diced hams, etc. And do not hesitate to bring some crunch with pine nuts.

Add some variations
To surprise your guests, bet also on variants. So, put your eyes on it to your guests by flaming the cake. Cook it in tatin version or prefer a sparkling and aerial result. How to do ? Just beat an egg in snow and incorporate it into your preparation. Finally, place a layer of crumble dough on your dessert to give him some crispness. The result will be better!
