5 good gestures to promote baby's awakening

Reassure baby by touch
For nine months, baby has evolved and grown up in the amniotic fluid. Water is an element he knows well, which calms and reassures him. Give her bath every day and enjoy this moment to cuddle your little one. Then, massage it with an oil or milk, or skin the skin to prolong contact.

A multitude of sounds
To the birth, your toddler recognizes the sounds he has heard for nine months in your belly. He thus distinguishes Daddy's voices and mum. To awaken his hearing, talk to him gently, explain to him what you are doing, sing lullabies. From 4 months, listen to some music with him. Whether classic, radio or rhymes, everything is good for baby. On the condition, however, not to raise the sound too high and not to stimulate it too much. Some music yes, the playlist of your PC, no. Baby needs time to assimilate what he learns.

Comforting smells
Like all infants, your toddler loves the scent of vanilla and banana, which tastes sweet. But what he appreciates above all is your natural smell. To help him fall asleep, put in his bed a T-shirt or a scarf previously worn. If you are breastfeeding, stop punctually. Breast milk has an odor that your child recognizes. No question of spoiling a breastfeeding because of a too heady effluvium.

Place to play!
Education and enlightenment go through games. Make mimicry and smiles on your toddler. Think also of the small animal that goes up, which goes up. A little later, place him in front of a mirror and watch his reaction. Also go to a specialized store to find a mat or a rattle. Baby grow up? Colorful cubes will soon be his favorite game. It falls well, this one stimulates his sight and his touch.

A little fresh air
A garden is a wonderful playground for adventure and discovery. Stroll through a park with your little one, and watch the birds or pretty ladybirds together, watch the leaves move and the shadows of the trees. Tense your ears to hear the chickade or cricket sing, pick dandelions or some grass, and pass them on your child's hand. Nature offers something to marvel each day and appeal to all its senses. Take advantage of it to encourage its awakening.
