A teddy bear connected to monitor baby?

Today, many mothers are turning to high tech to make their lives easier and to occupy the babies. Indeed geekette moms also called digital mums are today more than 8.7 million in France and brands offer more and more unusual objects. The last one? A small Croatian company IDerma, based in Zagreb, came up with the idea of ​​inventing an original teddy bear: Teddy the Guardian. Equipped with sensors, the blanket made of cotton and organic wool can then measure the heart rate, blood pressure, oxygenation and temperature of the body.child. Thus, thanks to the paw of the teddy bear, one can monitor the heart and the breathing but also know the level of stress that the baby may have during the day. Then, thanks to Bluetooth, information is sent directly to the parents' smartphone.

To satisfy all babies, the company also plans to develop a particular version of Teddy the Guardian for children diabetics who could track blood sugar levels babies.

At the moment, the bear Teddy the Guardian is not commercially available. On the other hand, the sensors present in the soft toy have been validated by the American health authorities (FDA). IDerma, which is the creator of the project, is now awaiting certification for the European Union, as well as that of the Asian authorities.
