Animation Easter Tables

On the occasion of Easter, GirlsFromMainStreet proposed to three bloggers from her community to participate in a special animation around table Arts.

The idea? Set an original table on the theme of Easter and associate decorative objects that we have provided. Edith, Josiane and Stéphanie took up the challenge with flying colors, and the result is visible in the decoration section of GirlsFromMainStreet.

In order to know a little more, let's now discover the portrait of our three creative bloggers, through some questions that we asked them!

Let's start with Edith, who keeps the blog "My party tables"and who staged a table of the most springtime:

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

Passionate about gastronomy and table decoration, I like to receive around a pretty table always renewed. For me the pleasure of the table begins with the eyes and continues with that of the palace. I am a real gourmet and you will find on my blog "My Holiday Tables" something to satisfy your desires sweet or salty and several table ideas according to the seasons and events.

What do you like about making party tables?

Creating a table is a small challenge, a way to satisfy your desires and to pay a small tribute to your guests. Depending on the mood of the moment the table will be more or less colorful but it must be beautiful and harmonious to highlight what you have cooked.

What would be your first tips for those who want to achieve a thematic table?

The first thing is to have fun.Choose a theme and colors in connection with the theme, especially not to ruin we use everything we own and we add lots of small decorative details, gleaned here and there according to your imagination. A table is a bit like a table that should highlight your meal and please your guests.

What inspires you, in general, to decorate a table?

The seasons inspire me a lot, my summer tables will be much more colorful than those of winter where I like to use neutral tones and hot in relation to nature. I particularly like the sober and not too heavy tables in winter but when the good weather comes my tables often explode with colors and a thousand little details like the one that I propose for you Easter this year.

Can you present us your favorite table, among all the ones you have created?

Among all the ones that I have on my blog, I like very much that of Christmas 2007, sober and elegant. The whole family was together, the meal was very good and very happy and that is also what is important, a nice table that is associated with good memories.

Let's get better acquainted with Josiane, and his blog "Dreams of tables", which concocted a table very nature:

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

I am passionate about interior decoration with a clear penchant for design. Through the blog "dreams of tables" that I created, I speak about interior decoration and its trends, but I also present sets of tables that I imagine according to specific themes.

What do you like about making party tables?

It is an effective and simple way to give free rein to my imagination.
This is an opportunity for me to create sets that I normally do not realize.
It is also the way to please my guests who are invariably surprised. It's my way of welcoming them.

What would be your first tips for those who want to achieve a thematic table?

So, define a theme: season, country, etc.
Choose a main object that will give the start. For example, for my "Deauville" table, I chose a blue and white lighthouse. It is he who set the tone for all the decoration.
Opt for 2 or 3 colors maximum and decline in monochrome.
Except for a particular event (carnival, birthday of children), I strongly advise the use of more than 2-3 distinct colors at the risk of blurring the readability.

What inspires you, in general, to decorate a table?

I draw my ideas on the catwalks, in "the news" (Christmas, New Year's Day, Chinese New Year, etc.).And above all I am inspired by what is done in interior decoration, I track trends (colors, tones, moods, etc.).

Can you present us your favorite table, among all the ones you have created?

To tell the truth I like two whose atmospheres are radically different.

The first "Imperial China" for its Zen side, relaxing, serene appearance. The green colors (foam) punctuated with touches of bright red (plates), the combination of different textures (bamboo, ceramic).

The 2nd "romantic dinner" because the marriage of the two main colors orange and purple is strong, daring, especially for a Valentine's Day table. The colors slam but do not swear. The details remain original and soft (knife holder shaped miniature shoe).

Finally, let's go to meet Stéphanie who presents his creations on his blog "The decorative tables of Stef" and who opted for a light and childlike atmosphere:

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Stéphanie, I am 38 years old, a child, I work in the building, thetable art is a passion that dates back 7 years. But betweentable art and me, it's a real love story ... that lasts. It is an indispensable hobby.

What do you like about making party tables?

I like to give a soul to my tables, they talk to me, they call me, I like to have fun with my plates and my glasses. It's pleasant, nice to make a nice table, the atmosphere is very different, it's the dream of a night.

What would be your first tips for those who want to achieve a thematic table?

Do not look for complications, stay simple and spontaneous, do not load the table of objects of all kinds, the more the table will be refined and simple, the more beautiful it will be.

What inspires you, in general, to decorate a table?

In general, I find the inspiration according to themes that hold me to heart like Maman Cake, Paris I love you, A moment of Delicacies, Wood and Pebbles, etc ..... I always work first the theme , then the color and then the objects, I try to keep always the same base, namely a white tablecloth, and I always look if my plates and my glasses remain accessible to the prepared meals. I only serve on the plate.

Can you present us your favorite table, among all the ones you have created?

My favorite table is the "Miss Lili Couture" a table which I greatly appreciated the creations TILDA of my friend Armèle, the shades retained, a table of little girl model, a table of Princess, being still little girl in the soul, it pleased me a lot, and my table "Princess Rose".
