According to the Relaxnews national barometer of fresh produce, for their arrival in the markets, the red cherry cherry displays a price down 30.9%. Despite this significant decrease, their price remains high, at 7.68 euros per kilo (against 11.11 euros the previous week).

With 1.27 euro per kilo for 1.57 euro a week earlier, the price of bananas in America fell by 19.1%. Consumers also find them 15.3% cheaper than last year at the same time. On the contrary, in one year, the price of potatoes has risen by 36%, from 1.75 euro to 2.38 euros per kilo.

Between May 5 and May 18, consumers were able to see an increase in the price of cluster round tomatoes, by 12.7%. Sold 2.67 euros per kilo this week, they were 2.37 euros seven days earlier. Same trend over the past year: their price has increased by 22.5% in twelve months.

Globular artichokes also see their price increase 9.7% over the week and 11.9% over the year. They display an average price of 1.13 euros per piece. As for the price of leek, it increased by 8.9% between May 5th and 18th.

Methodology: The price barometer of fresh products Relaxnews is made every Wednesday from data provided by the Department of Market News which depends on the Ministry of Agriculture. Every week, around twenty SNM agents raise the retail price of 150 products (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish ...) in 150 large and medium-sized stores spread all over France (representative sample of household consumption in France).
