Before 5 years, sport ... but gently

Before 5 years old, the children's bodies are not robust enough and their sense of coordination not developed enough for regular efforts. Doctors advise against regular sports activities. It is for these reasons that clubs do not accept children before that age. Except for exceptions :

 

Swimming :

This is one of the rare disciplines that children can practice from a year because the risk of trauma is very low. Your child can therefore jump into the water with baby swimmers from 1 year and make, around 4-5 years, a club initiation. These courses allow toddlers to acquire a certain autonomy, as well as an ease in the water. This helps your child to better cope with any danger that may occur during swimming.


The baby-sport:

Baby-sport is a mix of awakening activities. In the countryside, a child constantly faces nature and its obstacles (climbing walls, jumping over ditches ...). The principle of baby-sport is to reproduce these situations safely with adapted equipment that can be a net, a trampoline, a rope and even an animal like the pony. The children are put in front of situations that they will have to approach in a playful way. All in a suitable space and the facilitator is there to help overcome difficulties. And if your child stamps his foot because he absolutely wants to play football like the big ones, nothing forbids, to make him wait until his first registration in a club around 6 years, to organize small games. family! Being careful, however, to respect the rhythm of the child.
