Child model, youth in danger?

Child model: what motivations?
One of the motives can be money: modeling is undeniably a lucrative business. For example, up to age 11, thechild can touch up to 202? duty free for an advertisement or parade, and 175? duty free hour for a catalog shoot. The minimum billing is two hours. 90% of the remuneration of thechild is paid to the Caisse de Dépôts et Consignations on an account in his name, managed until his majority. The remaining 10% is paid to parents, in particular to cover the costs. Push a child to put under the projections is often explained by a need for recognition: parents are proud of the celebrity of their child, that they often live by proxy.

What are the risks of modeling for the child?
Thechild is not aware of the way adults look at his body. The risk of instrumentalisation is therefore very real. He may also experience a decline in self-esteem, when he is not retained at a casting or does not pierce as much as his parents would have hoped ... Finally, unlike the practice of a cultural activity or sports, modeling does not particularly promote the socio-cultural development of thechild.

Stay alert!
The schedules are arranged to adapt to the rhythm of the smallest. For example, from 6 months to 3 years, the duration of shooting or filming should not exceed two hours per week and one hour per day. From the age of six, shootings and filming can only take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and during school holidays. The modeling agency must hold a license and a prefectural license. A medical certificate and a signed authorization from both parents are requested.
