False friends of thinness: aspartame, friend or foe?

We heard almost everything about aspartame, the worst and the best. But it is clear that this sweetener is now marketed in more than 90 countries and that millions of people consume it daily.
Aspartame is widely used in the food industry as part of the production of lighter products. It can be used without fear for the line provided not to consume excessively.

Indeed, many health agencies around the world have affirmed the safety of this product long considered a carcinogen. According to the report of the European Commission's Scientific Committee for Food published in 2002: "There is no link between aspartame and cancer." The sweetener "Does not cause disorders of the nervous system" and "Has no effect on reproduction and development, except for marginal effects at very high doses 100 times higher than the acceptable daily intake". To this day, this product is still considered safe even for people with diabetes and pregnant women.
If you have a doubt and are looking for another sweetener, why not use agave syrup? It is found mainly in organic stores. Not only, it has a strong sweetening power but in addition, it has a low glycemic index. A fillet in a cottage cheese and that's enough.
