Fashion Week haute couture summer 2010: the debrief!
Hardly the curtain closed on the new season of Haute Couture, all the media stir and play the oracles of Olympus fashion to predict what the future of the fashion sphere will be made. Are the big fashion houses still dream plants? Will succession be assured? GirlsFromMainStreet.com awards the best students in the Fashion Week.
Trend Category Although Haute Couture does not fulfill the same role of trend prescriber as Ready-to-wear, we have noted some of the highlights of the season that will come to invite us in our dressing room. Seen on many podiums, powder and pastel shades continue to shade the evening (pastel tailors of Chanel Givenchy's neo-gothic dresses, including Elie Saab, who seems to have put his muted bling-bling this season). It will also count this summer on the uniform (rider late nineteenth at Dior, neo-military at Thimister). Finally, the summer trend of bermuda this summer seems to assert itself since the famous tweed tailor Chanel revisited in short trousers version was the great highlight of the parade from Mr Karl Lagerfeld.
Young talent category This year, young colts have shaded the new darling of fashionistas, Alexis Mabille. Indeed, other creators have created the buzz during their parade. The top trio is Christophe Josse, Stéphane Rolland and Alexandre Vauthier, whose collections have been the subject of much attention. The fashion popies Suzie Menkès, or Emmanuelle Alt did not make a mistake, since they occupied the front row. Talents to follow. Outsider category Some houses, apart from the big media and commercial machine, have managed to succeed. Competing with creativity, innovation and poetry, the creators Gustavo Lins or the duo of the brand Lefranc-Ferrant manage to communicate their approach more personal and fashion arty. VIP Category This year, the palm of the most assiduous student in the forefront of parades back to ... Miss Dita Von Teese. The impecceble setting at 10 am in Alexis Mabille, all leather dressed at Dior, a hair late at Elie Saab ... The queen of burlesque has not missed a single fashion show this week, thus damaging rapper Kanye West and his girlfriend cyborg Amber Rose. Also featured: Kylie Minogue, Tavi (the 13-year-old blue-haired blogger with grandmother's glasses), Hélène de Fougerolles, Claire Chazal and Nora Arzeneder at Dior.
