Finger food, what is it?

The finger food looks like a aperitif dinner, with a multitude of sweet and savory morsels. Here, no meat to cut with a solid knife but sweets to peck with the fingertips. Above all, this culinary trend is refined, far removed from the simple drink with friends.

Forget the ease
Instead of serving potato chips, make it with vitelottes or plantains. Give up toasts with bread and use slices of fresh bread, blini, thin tarts or vegetables raw as a support. Similarly, avoid the rolls ham-cheese with herbs. And opt instead for smoked salmon rolls. Fill them with cheese fresh and add a quarter of grapefruit or a strawberry for refinement. Think also revisited makis and spring rolls.

Because every detail counts, do not forget the dips and other appetizer sauces. Tzatziki, soy sauce with ginger, yoghurt and mint sauce, lime juice ... Know all your preparations.

A simple and festive entry
In the finger food, only the spoon is used. Put the glasses in the closet. To start your meal, prepare spoons of crème brûlée with foie gras, guacamole with salmon or cucumber-mango salad. A tip: do not forget the seasoning. No guest should complain about lack of salt or sauce.
Also think about the skewers of vegetables raw, and possibly add some cold meats or pieces of cold chicken. Serve a small salad on a parmesan shortbread, prepare dried tomato-mozzarella muffins, wraps with vegetables sun, etc.

Hot for the drink!
We can quite eat hot at theaperitif following the principles of finger food. For example, make mini zucchini or stuffed mushrooms, lamb skewers, chicken wings, or frog legs. Bend for freshly baked pesto palms or spring tartlets.
Also enjoy spoons to put a curry of prawns or duck aiguillettes with blue sauce. Think of the chicken tandoori, serve with spades. And to accompany your recipes, let yourself be tempted by rice croquettes, toasted bagels or homemade potatoes.

For cheese fondues
For the cheese, prefer gougères or Roquefort-walnut muffins. Of course, you can make cucumber-feta rolls or goat-dried fruit spoons. Use and overuse the pastry sheets to crisp your recipes. And to bring some freshness, alternate cubes of cheese and fresh fruit on a skewer.

So fruity!
In dessertthink of cupcakes to revisit the lemon meringue pie or the carrot cake. Make pear-chocolate spring rolls, coconut balls or fruit polenta squares. Plan spoons filled with different flavors of ice cream. Everyone will use as they please.

Do not forget desserts classics that are just a mouthful like lightning. Make small love apples, spoonfuls of poached pear with spices, and chocolate lollipops.

Finally, to facilitate the tasting, do not forget to provide spades, kebabs, towels and all you need to enjoy a buffet of salty and sweet sweets. Think about alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and coffee to finish this original and trendy meal!
