Every year, 5,000 new spas are based in France, a rapidly growing market. These figures reflect a strong French infatuation with these places, which are increasingly coming to their homes. Made-to-measure, integrated or not swimming pool, the spas private costs between 5,000 and 30,000 euros. From December 1st to 9th, the Salon de la Swimming pool and Spa, in Paris, will present the trends of the sector.
According to the figures of the Federation of Professionals of the Swimming pool (FPP), the number of Spas installed in France has increased by 30% per year since 2001. This progression is in line with the trend towards "well-being at home". If the number of Spas in France is incomparable to that of the United States, the FPP estimates that, by 2010, "the French market for Spas notebooks will increase by almost 60%, and that of flush-mounted by 47%.
They combine the heat of the water, at a temperature close to that of the body, and the hydromassage, in order to relax and evacuate tensions. Installed outdoors or indoors, they accommodate between one and fifteen people. Their size varies from the large bathtub to the "mini" swimming pool", the latter being" very fashionable ", according to the Federation.They are usually installed near a swimming pool, on a terrace, in the garden, or in a room of relaxation, bath or musculation. The Spas "are increasingly integrated into pools as soon as they are designed, "says the FPP Another major trend in the sector is the spa mobile, that can be moved easily from indoors to outdoors. On average, those installed by individuals have a surface of 2x2 meters and a depth of 70 to 80 cm.
According to the first international study on attendance of spasled by Ispa (International Spa Association) and ITEC France, 4.8 million French attend spas. The largest population of "spa addicts "is in the United States (32.2 million), ahead of Japan (15.8 million) and Italy (10.7 million). spas are women.
The salon of the Swimming pool and Spa will take place from 1st to 9th December next, at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, in Paris.
