After Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Roberto Cavalli, she is the artistic director and founder of the brand Comme des Garcons, Rei Kawakubo, which was chosen by the Swedish giant H & M as guest designer of autumn 2008.
The creator of Comme des Garçons will draw an exclusive collection for women and men but also some pieces for children. In addition to these creations, accessories and a unisex fragrance will be added. Rei Kawakubo said it is a 'challenge', an opportunity to 'tackle the dilemma between creation and business, and solve it'. One way like another to see things!
Comme des Garçons creations for H & M will be on sale next November, with a release a few days earlier in Japan, home of Rei Kawakubo. Founded in 1973, Comme des Garçons has 14 brands in 25 countries.
H & M is the first low-cost ready-to-wear brand to make recurring collaborations with recognized fashion designers.
