Hair: stop at conventional wisdom on coloring

1. You must never color your hair before going to the sun

FALSE
This is not a problem. One condition, however: to protect your hair, thanks to suitable hair oils. Indeed, UV rays attack the hair fiber, dries it. Result: the color deteriorates much faster. This also creates an economic problem. For what good color hair if the desired effect fades a few days later. It would be like throwing money out the window. An unnecessary cost when you spend a lot on your holiday in the sun.

2. One can use his Monoi oil on the hair

True and false

False: Under no circumstances should Monoi be used during your exposure to the sun. This will burn your hair as it burns your skin. It is therefore necessary to bring with you solar capillary oils adapted to effectively protect your hair and your color.
True : On the other hand, Monoi oil can be used after exposure to the sun to intensively nourish and restructure the fiber. The ideal is to wrap your hair in a warm towel, or cellophane. The product will then penetrate deeply, and more quickly.

3. It's easier to go from blond to brown
True : Technically speaking, it's easier to go from blond to brown. The color will be more uniform. On the contrary, when it comes to lightening, the reflections of the natural color persists and creates an undesired contrast effect.
False: Aesthetically, women have a harder time accepting themselves when they go from blond to brown. They prefer, in fact, the blonde color which brightens their features and their face.

4. We can afford any color

FALSE

It is necessary to adapt its color according to the shape of its face, its complexion but also of how to make up and to dress. In general, brown leaves no room for fatigue. Women over sixty must not hesitate to thin their hair. This softens the face. We must also avoid making uniform colors in winter. It makes you sad. It is then recommended to give a touch of brilliance to its color. The best is to ask his hairdresser, who will answer your questions and expectations.

5. We can do several colors a month

True and false

True : if it is a coloring without ammonia, it is then possible to change color every 10 to 15 days.
False: On the contrary, for a coloring with ammonia, it will take 4 to 5 weeks to avoid sensitizing the hair and damaging it. Let's not forget that this will be a simple retouching, a new color will not be necessary, at the risk of damaging your hair.
