The daily Variety announced the next film shoot Big Eyes, dedicated to the painted artist Margaret Keane. This is the American actress Kate Hudson (You and me ... and Duprée) who will interpret the title role.
Big Eyes is named after Margaret Keane's paintings of children with oversized eyes.
Kate Hudson will perform the artist at the time of her entry into the feminist struggle in the 1960s. The feature film will focus on the trial between Margaret Keane and her second husband who sold the paintings of his wife under his name.
The court battle was remembered in an episode in which Margaret Keane painted a canvas in front of the judge while her husband declined the exercise because of a shoulder pain. The artist obtained the right to sell his paintings under his own name in 1965.
Screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski will start behind the camera with Big Eyes. The duo hopes to start filming next June.
Kate Hudson will start shooting shortly Bride Wars Gary Winick (30 years otherwise nothing, Charlotte's Little World). She will face Anne Hathaway (The devil wears Prada) in this comedy about two friends organizing their respective wedding the same day.
