Mâcon Villages, red wine from Burgundy

Wine Region : Burgundy - Mâconnaise coast
Registered designation of origin: Mâcon villages
No less than 90 communes of Saône et Loire offer their semi-continental climate and their calcareous or calcic brown soils to this name.

We recommend the Mâcon Villages Cuvée Tradition from Domaine de la Bongran, produced by Jean Thevenet in Clessé:
This atypical Chardonnay is rich and powerful. The nose has very ripe aromas of exotic fruits, citrus fruits, white flowers (hawthorn), with mineral and delicately earthy scents. The palate is rich, consistent, and the finish is very long.
Vintages to be favored: pleasant from his youth, he gains in depth and complexity after eight to ten years of cellar.
Indicated price : 40? about
The good agreement: Tasty shellfish (scallops, lobster). Tender but refined cow cheeses.
