There is a current of manga (Japanese comics) openly intended for female readers, often dealing with stories of teenage girls or young women: the Shôjo. "Nana", by Ai Yazawa, is thus the best-selling series in Japanand already seduces French women. His 13 volumes released here are Shibuya, Tokyo's fashionable district, and his main characters are two young girls with the same name, Nana, breaking with the Japan traditional.

Full Moon Wo Sagashite
In this series, which landed in France last December, Arina Tanemura targets a very young audience. Her heroine, Mitsuki, 13, has throat cancer. She has only one year to live, and will dedicate it to realize her dream: to become a star of the song.

Emotional supplement
This story of Mari Okazaki is close to the Chick Lit, these novels created in the wake of Bridget Jones. In this comic, of which two volumes have already been released, Minami, a 27-year-old working girl, questions the absurdity of her commitment to her work.
