The Global Language Monitor, an American association that analyzes the media. The criteria chosen for achieving this ranking are the quotes in the press, on television and on the Internet.
Paris lost the first place in this ranking four years ago, in favor of
New York. The surprise this year comes from Rome who now occupies the second place, ahead of his compatriot Milan, yet traditional capital of Italian fashion.
The most fashionable city in Asia is Tokyo in Japan, which ranks in 6
