Odyssea, the association that runs against breast cancer

The association Odyssea was founded in 2002 by Frédérique Quentin, former international athletics and Frédérique Jules, physiotherapist. The idea: to gather women and their relatives to walk and run against the breast cancer.

Every hour in France, a woman dies of breast cancer. Responsible for nearly 12,000 deaths a year, the breast cancer is the Cancer women and the leading cause of death for women between the ages of 35 and 55. Nearly 300,000 people live in France today with a breast cancer.

This is why Odyssea organizes every year races across France to collect funds that are fully donated to research and associations to help the sick.

This association is today the first charity race circuit in France, with an encouraging record: since its creation, 50,000 people have run or walked on an Odyssea event, allowing to donate nearly 500,000 euros to associations working in the field.

To support the action of Odyssea, just participate in one or more of its events.
Open to all, athletes or not, a short distance (5 km completed by a 10 km for some races) at a free pace, the races-marches are a simple and pleasant way to show commitment to a disease that affects many families in France. And they allow in addition to keep fit and meet lots of people. So put on a beautiful pink T-shirt and participate!

Next races in Brest on September 14, Marseille on the 20th, Cannes on the 21st, Paris on the 5th of October, Reunion on the 2nd of November.
