Our tips for not taking 5 kilos on New Year's Eve

1) We eat everything

We have fun, we savor every bite but reasonably. You are deprived of nothing, so you can use a little bit of everything. Chew twice as long as usual and do not serve a second time.

2) Alcohol in moderation

Drink one or two glasses of wine (for pleasure and all its antioxidants) and then drink water. Sparkling or not, your water can be embellished with fresh lemon, slices of cucumber or pomegranate seeds to give it taste and to alkalize its pH. End it meal while toasting with a glass of champagne during dessert.

3) Gently with the fat

As a starter, many of you will have to face the traditional foie gras. We use one end and put it on toast. To be reassured, we think of all the benefits of foie gras: it is a beautiful source of iron (and all the minerals or almost) and monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, protectors of our body. Still high in cholesterol, and this is the paradox of this food, its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids fights its high level of cholesterol. It is therefore a small pleasure that we do not forbid but that we consume moderately Christmas and New Year for example.

4) Yes to vegetables

Even if it's festive, there are always vegetables at the table. Always use vegetables first, then take a little bit of all those other things that are richer and make you happy (obviously, you will already be less hungry and your appetite will be decreased). So, vegetables first and foremost.

5) The traditional turkey

The tradition is that Christmas we eat turkey. If this is the case at home, rejoice, because turkey is a lean meat. Serve at one end and rotate the dish without serving again. If not prefer the fish, but avoiding the sauce to the maximum.

6) Dessert time

For dessert, we start with a seasonal fruit. Some are very festive, including lychees and mango. Take before a small piece of cheese or after a small piece of log, and then stop. Result?? For once, you'll leave the meal of Christmas without this unpleasant sensation that your stomach will explode ...

7) Move

Why not propose a few hours before meal or the next day a family ride, a game of Wii or an outing to the rink? These activities will make you have a good time with your loved ones and will allow you not to remain to nibble all these chocolates.
