Police will give its final concert in New York

2007 marked the return of Police, a mythical British band of the 80s, who reformed the time of a world tour of reunion with his public.
Police, consisting of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, passed through Canada, the United States, Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe. The group stopped at the Stade de France for two exceptional concerts on September 29th and 30th.

The band has announced it will give a final concert in New York, the city at the beginning of its adventure in 1978. The details of this concert have not yet been released. Police will close one of the most lucrative tours of 2007.

"Our first American tour started at the CBGB (New York club recently closed) in 1978 and this summer, 30 years later, our trip ends with a final concert in New York," says the group press release.

The adventure of Police should therefore stop definitely after this tour. Last February, Andy Summers had indeed indicated that no album was in preparation.

According to the Forbes ranking published last January, The Police is the group that made the most money in the United States in 2007. The Sting formation topped the list with $ 142.3 million in revenue, more than 96 millions of euros.
