Spring respiratory allergies: how to fight?

It's springtime and your nose starts to flow like a fountain, your eyes sting and you chase sneezing fits. And is it every year the same? You are certainly a victim of allergy to particles suspended in the air ... If theallergy is most often benign, it is disabling because it causes great fatigue, loss of smell and taste and can degenerate into ENT infection. The most extreme form can be asthma, which is to be taken seriously. But before we get to this type ofallergy serious, it is important to treat yourself because a allergy do not stop alone. It is triggered by your body's defense mechanisms, the antibodies, which react pathologically to an allergen.
A spring allergy, but why? In the spring, pollen from trees, grasses or grasses is often involved. Pollution can also be involved, or mites that have a peak of reproduction in autumn and spring, mold (rather more important in summer), tobacco ... As for pollen flowers, it is in summer that 'he is free.
To know the culprit of the allergy, you must consult your doctor. Depending on the time of year you visit, your doctor gets a hint of your allergen. It will certainly prescribe a skin test, completely painless, to define precisely the substance that triggers theallergy. If the substance is easy for you to avoid, do not deprive yourself of it. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to eliminate the source ofallergy of your environment.
To treat the symptoms of the'allergy mild, cached antihistamines and local corticosteroids such as nasal sprays are usually sufficient. If theallergy is severe, you will presumably prescribe corticosteroids in general. But beware, only the symptoms will be treated: your allergy will come back as soon as you come into contact with the allergen.
To eradicate allergyonly desensitization is effective. The earlier she is, the better she works. Desensitization is to progressively bring the subject into contact with the allergen. The treatment is unfortunately quite long (about 3 to 5 years) but the administration of the treatment is very simple. It consists in putting, every day fasting, a few drops under the tongue of a liquid containing the allergen. The symptoms fade gradually, eventually disappearing completely.
Treatment of asthma is much more restrictive. It's all about trying to control the disease and to provide continuous treatment whose dosage is reduced to a minimum. The rescue treatment is an effective bronchodilator in seconds that does not prevent the treatment of background, an inhaled corticosteroid.

Our advice
In children in particular, it is important not to wait until the childallergy worsens as it may become complicated, to be followed by others allergiesor even degenerate as asthma.
