The benefits of flowers: the 3 virtues of nasturtiums

The nasturtiums are those small red flowers, gold or orange which grow from June, sometimes drowned in their leaves. It is Louis XIV who, appreciating their qualities of ornament had them imported in France. In Peru, flowers and leaves were already used, as beautiful as they are by healing and disinfecting. Here, besides loving their pretty colors, we discovered other healing aspects: body care, hair care, the nasturtium takes care of you.

Detox

The dry seeds of nasturtiums have purgative properties. To be clear, they will facilitate evacuation. Nothing very glamorous but practical.
Small recipe: Take 70 grams of dry seeds that you reduce to powder. Mix them with 150 grams of honey. Three teaspoons a day of this preparation are enough to feel the beneficial effects.

Anti-cold

Cold, cough, bronchitis ... The nasturtium takes care of your throat and your chest. An infusion of flowers and dried leaves helps to free the bronchi. It also helps to bring down fever and offers a softer sleep.

Hair care

Another major asset of the nasturtium: it is a care blanket for damaged hair: it gives them back the shine, fortifies them, especially to fight against hair loss.
Small hair recipe: In a liter of water, boil for fifteen minutes a handful of flowers, leaves and dried seeds. Once the decoction has cooled, you can soak the hair.
