The book "The mechanics of the heart" by Mathias Malzieu will be brought to the screen

Variety magazine revealed that the book of Mathias MalzieuMechanics of the heart will be adapted to the cinema under the EuropaCorp banner.
The production company of Luc Besson bought the rights of the work of the leader of the group Dionysos to draw an animated film.

Mathias Malzieu will be involved in the project as scriptwriter and co-director alongside Stéphane Berla. Cartoonist Joann Sfar (Rabbi's Cat), who participated in the illustrations of the book, will help the graphics.

Mechanics of the heart is the third book written by Mathias Malzieu. The fairy book takes place in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 1874 and tells the story of Jack, a young man born frozen heart. Dr. Madeleine will save his life by replacing his heart with a mechanical clock that prevents him from experiencing all feelings. Jack will fall in love with Miss Acacia.

The feature film is expected to come into production by the end of the year.

The original book was published on October 22, 2007 by Flammarion Editions. His release was accompanied by a recording that included the presence of Arthur H, Olivia Riuz, Emily Loizeau, Alain Bashung, Grand Corps Malade, Jean Rochefort and Eric Cantona.

Mathias Malzieu has recently worked on the third album of singer Cali, Hope, as a composer and co-producer. The disc was released on February 4th.
