The bra celebrates 100 years of its creation. Symbol of femininity, it exists in its modern form since the beginning of the twentieth century, even though women had already made the habit of maintaining their breasts from Ancient Greece, by various means.
First called "bra" by the magazine Vogue in 1907 the bra is strongly related to the image of the woman and her story.

Some celebrations ...

Galeries Lafayette pays tribute to this must-have piece, in collaboration with Lycra fiber and the label Chantelle. From November 10 to 24, during the Festival of Lingerie, limited editions signed Chantelle will be sold there.

In red thread, Farid Chenoune, historian and author of the book The undersides of femininity, a century of lingerie (Editions Assouline) will intervene to tell the story of the bra.
