History
In history we find Saint Clotaire who was abbot of the Saint-Jacques monastery in Champagne. Thereafter, Clotaire was illustrated by four Merovingian kings and was popular among the Franks from the fifth to the eighth century. A few centuries later in the eighteenth century, this first name began to disappear but remained in the peasant families. He reappeared timidly in the 1980s without experiencing a real success. Today even though first name is rare that the trend towards first names medieval is felt.

Character
Clotaire is a receptive and social man. In his professional life, he is determined and diplomatic towards his colleagues. In his personal life the young man can sometimes be shy and confides very little, which makes him a mysterious man.
