The interior of the night, Léonora Miano

Once a month, we meet in the middle of books from my reserve, with the reading circle that I lead. We all know each other well, and I'm always completely confident when one of the members advises me book... and this one, in particular, was amazing! I thank the person who made me read it.

Ayané is an African girl. Part study in France, she returns to Mboasi (which could be any country of Central Africa). Surrounded by hills, surrounded by the bush, his village is isolated from everything. And its inhabitants maintain this isolation as much as possible, by their traditions as much as by their resignations. This remoteness does not protect them, however, militiamen who, one night, invade the village and impose a climate of terror and violence unheard ... until pushing its inhabitants to an incredible session of cannibalism.

Léonora Miano gives us a view of the interior of the disintegration of some African countries, with great wisdom and finesse. This book force to respect and invite not to hide what is happening in the world, but on the contrary to be very careful.
