The story of Col Claudine

The story of Col Claudine
The story of Col Claudine goes back to the beginning of the century, when the writer Colette took out his semi-autobiographical novel Claudine at school. This book tells the story of a little girl who wears schoolgirl clothes including a dress with a rounded collar. To illustrate the cover of her novel, Colette took a photo shoot and wore the same blouse as the heroine of her novel. Subsequently this round collar took the name of Col Claudine and a phenomenal success in the years 1955. One of the first to have adopted this trend was Audrey Hedburn and his famous red blouse Col Claudine. After this photo, all the stars of the 1960s, adopted this glamorous collar. This year it is back on the catwalks and wardrobes of moms but also children.

For example at Tartine et Chocolat, the Claudine collar soften the dress while at Verbaudet we play on the colors and the printed collar. It is also found on the coats of Cyrillus where Claudine collar brings a chic and trendy touch.
