The week of taste starts ... Ready to educate your taste buds?
The 24th Week of Taste begins this Monday! Until October 20, activities and workshops will take place all over France to educate the youngest to all tastes. These few days of entertainment are headed by the High Patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry and the Ministry of National Education.
This event makes perfect sense when we discover the results just published by the Association Santé Environnement France (Asef). Indeed, according to their study, 87% of children aged 8 to 12 do not recognize a beet or that nearly 30% do not know that potatoes are the origin of french fries ...
A program for everyone
Many events in schools are organized. In primary schools and for the first time in nursery will be held the Lessons of Taste. The aim is to awaken the taste buds at an early age and to raise awareness among parents by presenting products and flavors to discover.
For the second year in a row, the young culinary students will also have the honor of receiving renowned chefs at the National Meeting of Chefs of Tomorrow. Guy Savoy, Yves Camdeborde of MasterchefChristian Constant of Top Chef and many of the best workers in France answered the call.
But the biggest will not be left out. Workshops of tastes will settle everywhere in France. Some restaurants will offer menus this week. Great chefs will also reveal the addresses of their producers.
