Probiotics, what is it?

Lactobacillus, subtilis, acidophillus ... these micro-organisms with unpronounceable names naturally present in the body and in certain foods are the new darlings of the female press. Among other benefits, they boost the digestive system and protect the intestinal flora. Clearly, they help lazy transits, a necessary condition to get a flat sale before the summer and would also act in the prevention of acne, and theobesity.

Where are they found?

If they are present in the natural state, some yogurts are enriched in probiobotics. Better, the industrialists make a commercial argument to seduce the consumer. Actimel, activia, these products have multiplied in recent years on the shelves of our supermarkets and are in the process of integrating with consumer habits. And if these products are particularly rich in probiotics, know that they are also found in classic yogurts, but also in cheese crusts, leavened bread, sauerkraut and fermented products in general.

Revolution or publicity?

Omega 3, probiotics, health professionals only have these words in their mouths! And for good reason, they are a cure for small daily problems: bloating, difficult digestion, lazy bowels. If their benefits are obvious, is there a risk of overdose? A priori no, say experts, because unlike vitamins, probiotics do not pass into the blood. Small side effect to watch however: laxative effects quite annoying!

Effective or not?

If you eat balanced, and you do not have any digestive disorders, do not bother filling your caddy with these probiotic enriched yogurts and empty your wallet!
