Zadig and Voltaire, the saga of the brand

Behind Zadig and Voltaire stands a man, Thierry Gillier, inspired by his wife, Amelie. Thierry Gillier fell into the "pot" of fashion when he was little: his father is none other than one of the founders of the famous shirt Lacoste, alongside René Lacoste. After having made his apprenticeship at Yves Saint Laurent and Thierry Muggler, Thierry Gillier launches his first brand with his brother: ATG.

Thierry Gillier created in 1996 the brand Zadig which focuses on the creation of sweaters in cashmere. Why Zadig? But because Voltaire, one of Thierry Gillier's favorite writers. Since 1997, the name of Voltaire is attached to Zadig. Thierry has just met Amélie, a young woman from Sciences Po who is passionate about fashion.

The one who will become his wife influences the creation of the little ones sweaters towards more and more elegant femininity in a casual and trendy style. Success breaks on small sweaters to message (you must remember Elvis rhinestone or Mick) luxurious silk or cashmere. Thierry focuses on the development of boutiques that flourish on all continents; collections are no longer confined to sweaters but to all the rooms of the wardrobe.

What makes Zadig and Voltaire so successful? It is difficult to summarize the talent of its creators and inspirers. It is certain that making the luxury of noble materials affordable can only appeal to women who love fashion and beauty. And then the reasonably priced style is not so easy to find. Zadig and Voltaire, tinting their collections with a touch of Rock n'Roll attitude, finally give women the opportunity to recognize themselves in a range of clothes while not so wise elegance! And then, looking around in the 500 models that come out every year during six "seasons", it's hard not to crack ...
