Aretha Franklin voted "Personality of the Year"
Aretha Franklin honored in February
February 8, 2008, the diva of the American soul, Aretha Franklinwill receive the title of "Personality of the Year". For the 18th consecutive year, the MusiCares Foundation will organize the award ceremony, which honors each year a personality from the world of music.
To pay tribute to Aretha Franklin, will be John Legend or Patti Austin, among many other sizes of the genre.
Dionysos, Cali and Olivia Ruiz join forces for the Abbé Pierre Foundation
The three artists must participate in a concert whose profits will be donated to the Abbé Pierre Foundation.
The event will take place on January 18th in Metz. At their side on stage, there will also be Circle and Dani.
In parallel to this show, the best beach soccer teams will compete, as part of the Rock'N'Beach Solidarity Cup.
Beyonce washed out suspicion of plagiarism
The American diva was cleared of plagiarism charges against her. It was the artist Jennifer Armor who had pursued Beyonce in court, accusing him of using one of his tracks in his album Dangerously In Love. After a long trial, Beyonce was finally found innocent.
Otherwise, Beyonce is nominated in two categories at the 2008 Grammy Awards, to be held on February 10 in Los Angeles.

The Critics Choice Awards Ceremony took place January 7 in Los Angeles. Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood Receives "Best Composer" Title for Soundtrack There Will Be Blood.
The guitarist was not present to receive the prize. So it was Snoop Dog and Feist who got him to his attention.
