Better to refrain from telling a loved one that he has grown!

As the holidays approach, and the hearty meals that accompany them, you and your loved ones may take a few extra pounds. But it is better not to tell them and in your case, not to hear it. It would only make things worse. A Canadian study published in the journal "Personal Relashionships " reports that the criticism made by relatives on your extra pounds would be an obstacle to keeping the goal thinness. Quite the contrary, these pungent remarks would make weight to the one who receives them.

Christine Vogel, one of the main authors of the study, researcher in social psychology, explains through these results how much the comments of our relatives have direct consequences on our health.

To reach this conclusion, Canadian researchers observed young women of school age whoBMI (Body Mass Index) was in the high average, around 24.9.

Five months after the first meeting, it turned out that people who said they were supported by those around them stabilized their weightor even lost 500 grams. While those who were not took on average 1.8 kg. Thus, this support would reduce stress, often the cause of weight. It could also be a comforting effect leading to a better diet because people feel better about themselves.

So a tip, keep your comments for you for the holiday meals in family this year...
