Child: the loss of the baby teeth and the appearance of the definitive teeth

If your child has "made" his baby teeth very early, he is likely to see them fall early, probably around age 5. On the other hand, if your child had to wait a year or more before having his first teeth, he will have all the chances of having to wait until his 6 or 7 years.

Children often experience the loss of baby teeth impatiently as it means becoming tall. They are proud to show off a big holey smile and sometimes crush their teeth to try to make them fall faster. What is not needed to raise their gums! But other children are a little apprehensive about leaving childhood.
Explain to your child that this is a natural process. The baby teeth have created the place for the definitive, stronger teeth to grow. The roots of the deciduous teeth are destroyed by undergoing the thrust of the definitive teeth.

The "6-year-old teeth" often appear even before the first incisor falls! These are totally new molars. Then the baby teeth will gradually fall, until the age of 13 or 14 years on average. The order often observed is: the central incisors, then the lateral ones, then the canines followed closely by the premolars, and finally the molars.

For wisdom teeth, it will take until the 17th birthday, or even until the 30th. Nature does not distribute precise planning and we must do well with what is given to us. It's up to us to respect hygiene optimal mouth so that infections and caries do not interfere as little as possible! Brushing your teeth morning and night reduces the risk of cavities by 50%!

Our advice
The story of the Little Mouse is a rite of passage that children take with more or less conviction. Regardless of your child's attitude, the loss of baby teeth is a great step to celebrate in one way or another to emphasize its importance.
