Make your frangipane yourself

Easy recipe : There are four basic ingredients to remember, butter, sugar, almond powder (150 gr each) + 2 eggs.
The butter is whipped until a creamy mixture is obtained, then 150 g of sugar and 150 g of almond powder are added. After that, we also add the two whole eggs. You can also put a few drops of bitter almond extract in the preparation to boost the taste.

 

It is also possible to prepare your frangipane in order to use it as decoration for many otherdesserts : icing, flower-shaped decoration ... or just to taste it as it is.

For that just add a little flour to the preparation of the traditional frangipane and the dye of our choice. We then obtain pink or green frangipane as we can see it at our pastry chef. Easy to make, frangipane brings a fun touch to all our dessert and it is indispensable for our iconic galette des rois.


variants : you can perfume your frangipane in a thousand and one ways to awaken the taste buds of our guests we do not hesitate to bet on a touch of lemon, coconut, vanilla, rum ... or any other perfume that makes you want. Just add this ingredient to the initial preparation and you're done!
