Our tips for treating a mild burn

The burn is one of the most common household accidents: the hand on a hotplate forgotten, a dish that slips out of the oven, steam escaping, a chemical and it is the accident.

The first reflex consists in placing the affected part of the body under cold water as quickly as possible. It prevents the high temperature from spreading deeply and attacking the deeper layers of the skin. Let the water run for about twenty minutes. Half an hour after the burn, know that this remedy is no longer necessary. It is useless to run icy water: temperate water is enough. If the water is icy, body temperature may drop. Before immersing the burned limb in cold water, check that the victim is properly isolated from any electrical equipment that may have caused the burn.

To treat a mild burnyou must disinfect it thoroughly. If blisters appear, do not pierce them! You can apply a generous layer of Biafine or Flamazine, very moisturizing and soothing creams. Put on the eventual wound a tulle gras until healing.
