Pregnant: good reflexes in summer

In the shade all!

This summer, the sun is for you the enemy number one. Be very careful and do not expose yourself to a minimum. Whatever the latitude chosen, it is imperative to protect yourself from the sun during pregnancy. Indeed, women's skin pregnant is even more sensitive to sun radiation: exposing you without protection, you risk seeing the famous mask of pregnancy. These broad, unattractive brown spots are around the mouth, eyes and forehead. And unfortunately, it sometimes takes a few months after delivery to see them disappear. In short, prevention is better than cure!
In addition, staying quietly in the shade will protect you from the risk of dehydration, sunstroke and sunburn.
If you still prefer to make the lizard on the beach, get a high-protection sunscreen and a hat with a wide brim, and avoid the slice 12h-16h!

Avoid hot weather

This is perhaps the opportunity to rediscover the charms of Brittany?
If you are already struggling to withstand high temperatures in normal times, do not risk a trip to Greece or Morocco in August!
Severe heat can cause discomfort, causing or aggravating water retention problems. Drink plenty of water and sleep with your legs raised.

Travelers, be careful!

Avoid major trips during the first and third trimesters, and keep some destinations for later. You are certainly not sick, but you could become ill in some countries where hygiene conditions are poor. Some destinations require vaccines forbidden to women pregnant... In short, given the constraints and risks, travel agencies generally advise future mothers not to go too far. Spain, Italy and Corsica for example are close enough and have a good health level.

Rest and adapted activities

And if you enjoyed the summer to nap during the hot hours?
Take care of yourself: doing a little sport smoothly such as walking or swimming is very beneficial in your situation.
High mountain, water skiing, motocross, caving or scuba diving are your passion? Common sense requires you to postpone all these exciting activities!

To keep under the elbow, a small kit in case that consists of:
Sunscreen, an antidiarrheal, a mild antispasmodic against contractions, paracetamol against fever and pain, anti-nausea medication, anti-acid reflux medication, mosquito spray, thermometer and a copy of your record obstetrics.
