The binder, only responsible for back problems?

A note sent by the government to the rectors of the academy in 1995 asked school heads to ensure that the backpack of a student of 6e does not exceed 10% of its weight. Unfortunately, we are still far from it. On average, the binder of a 12-year-old schoolboy is around 7.5 kg while weighing only 35 kg. The bag therefore approaches more than 20% of the recommended 10%.
However, if the binder has long been considered the sole cause of students' back problems, it is not the case. Indeed, no study has shown that the high weight of a wallet directly led to scoliosis and other back problems in children. The binder would only be an aggravating factor.
According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Michigan, the spine of teens can quite bear a heavy load over a short period of time. Hence the need to minimize the wearing of the binder when it is not necessary, waiting for the bus for example.
The real ones responsible for the back problems of teenagers are therefore elsewhere. Involved: overweight, poor posture toschool as at home, lack of sleep, dietary imbalance and lack of physical exercise or intensive workouts. Parents to ensure that their child adopts a healthy lifestyle to help him bear the weight of the schoolbag throughout his schooling and not to suffer all his life back problems.
