History
This
first name is the Spanish version of Agnès. In the 7th Saint Ines Takeya was a Japanese who converted to Christianity but it was executed in 1622 because it would have hosted Catholic missionaries. Also found in the fourteenth century, Ines de Castro. She was one of the maids of honor of Constance of Castile, and mistress and wife of Don Pedro of Portugal, son of King Alfonso IV. But some time later he murdered Ines due to adulterous problems and to keep the rights of the heir. Inès de Castro became "La Reine Morte" and moreover, the playwright Henry de Montherlant (1895-1972) was inspired by this historical drama to write his play, The Dead Queen (1942). this
