Vanessa Paradis on tour this summer
2007 marked the great return of Vanessa Paradis on the front of the music scene: his fifth album, "Divinidylle", released on September 3, 2007, was a real success, selling 400,000 copies. His precedent album, "Bliss", dated 2000.
After a series of concerts throughout France in the fall, Vanessa Paradis will be back on stage this summer. The singer will notably perform on July 11 at the Esplanade du Lac in Aix les Bains, on July 14 at the Francofolies de la Rochelle, July 15 at the Stade Vélodrome d'Arcachon, July 18 at the Francofolies de Spa in Belgium and the 22 July at the Arena of Nîmes.
"The fire", the third excerpt from his album, is currently broadcast on radio. This title was composed by Mathieu Chedid and written by Didier Golemanas.
For his album "Divinidylle" Vanessa Paradis surrounded by the best. For the texts, she worked with Mathieu Chedid and Jean Fauque, the lyricist of Alain Bashung, but also with Frank Monnet. For the photo sessions of thealbum, Vanessa Paradis appealed to Jean-Baptiste Mondino, who had staged his Tandem clip in 1990.
Mathieu Chedid also accompanied Vanessa Paradis for his tour, to the delight of fans who have admired two artists for the price of one!
Before going out album, Vanessa Paradis had made a first comeback noticed by participating in the musical tale of Louis Chedid, "The Rose Soldier". In this album, the singer interprets especially the title "Made in Asia", the story of a doll made by children in Asia. The disc was released on November 6, 2006, on the occasion of the end of the year celebrations. Next toVanessa Paradis, there was an impressive cast: the Chedid father and son (Louis and Mathieu), Catherine Jacob, Jeanne Cherhal, Sanseverino, Shirley & Dino, Albin Simone, Francis Cabrel, Bénabar, Alain Souchon, Raoul Pennec and Celine Bary .
Vanessa Paradis and Mathieu Chedid are definitely inseparable, as they work together again, alongside Eric & Ramzy and Kevin Kline on the soundtrack of the animated film "A Monster in Paris" by Bibo Bergeron. The film's release is scheduled for Christmas 2008.
