Which beer is associated with which dish?

Instead of uncorking a bottle of wine, have your guests enjoy different kinds of beers. For a convivial dinner, take out pretty transparent glasses. And select them according to their capacity (30 cl maximum). Your meal will be under the sign of elegance? Know that there are glasses to beer with clean and original design. Otherwise, cognac glasses will do the trick. Finally, whatever the type of glass chosen, remember: foam is essential!

What to serve for the aperitif?
For the aperitif, bet on the originality with a Garipotte, a beer blonde infused with elderflower. Also suggest to your guests an amber Faro or a hat for lovers of fruity flavors.

A tip: despite their glasses sometimes very original like that of the Kwak, forget the beers at the alcohol level too high. The evening is just beginning, so better go slowly. And only serve one glass per beer tasted.

The same agreements as for wine
Inspire food and wine pairings to choose your beers. Bend for a drink powerful for dishes who have character and a blonde for a white meat, a fish and cheese platter. As for the chocolate desserts, they will be sublimated with a beer brown, as they are with a glass of red wine.

Which menu to propose?
As an appetizer, offer specialties from the North or from Belgium, the country of the beer. For example, cook endive soup or chicory with snails. And to go with, nothing like beer blonde hair. It will also be suitable for salads and other raw vegetables.

With a dish spicy, a red meat or game with pronounced flavors, opt for a brown, more typical. Choose for example a beer abbey or Trappist like an Orval or a Chimay. Did you prepare a duck breast? If your guests love the sweet and sour alliance, do not hesitate to serve them a cherry Kriek. On the other hand, if you are planning to cook a slice of mushroom turkey or a veal blanquette, then propose a blonde Angelus, or an amber Beer Honey or Petrus special.

You serve a fish: prefer a blond Brunehaut type or a white like the Blanche de Bruxelles. Ideal for preserving the delicate taste of a fillet of whiting or cod. And continue with this drink to savor the cheese.

Brown beer and chocolate: the perfect alliance
Finally, uncap a brown Carolus to accompany a chocolate fondant. The beers brown marries indeed with cocoa. Besides, know that there is the beer chocolate, brewed with cocoa beans.

If you have a fruit pie, look for a blonde (Petrus). And amber type Barbar to go with a caramel dessert. And if your guests are already satiated, give them a raspberry Kriek. It will be enjoyed alone for dessert.
