The basket of fruits for aChristmas menu must be a decorative and tasty element at a time. Pay attention to the colors and shapes of fruits by combining decorations of fern leaves, flowers and fruits dry.

The fruits in season are apples, pears, clementines, oranges, chestnuts, pomelos (which resemble grapefruit). You can also find lemons, kiwis, lychees and pineapples easily. Of course, supermarkets and convenience stores fruits and early growers offer a choice that extends well beyond these fruitsbut the prices are very high and the flavor sometimes disappointing. To add color to your baskets fruits, also use vegetables and colocynth. Avocados, pumpkins, tomatoes cherry (which is also a fruit and not a vegetable!).

With cheese, fruits in season are delicious. Remember to have on the cheese board neighborhoods of fruits fresh and nuts. Some guests will be happy to mix tastes, others to be limited to fruits to refresh your mouth!

Oranges and frosted lemons make up a basket of fruits original and very appreciated. The fruits frosted are simple to prepare: just cut a hat, empty the pulp with a spoon and collect the juice that you mix with a little sugar and cream. Return this preparation to a metal container in the freezer, mixing every hour to avoid chaff. When the ice is almost set, place ice cream in each fruit bark. Reserve in the freezer until tasting.

Our advice:
You can present with the coffee a basket of fruits dry stuffed with almond paste. Dates and prunes will be incised in their length and filled with almond pastes of different colors. You can also fill hollowed walnut hulls and arrange on almond sticks almonds and hazelnuts.
