"It was a beautiful novel, a beautiful fashion storyAfter almost 16 years at the helm of the house Louis Vuitton, the very famous American designer Marc Jacobs leaves the house after presenting his latest collection said Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH.

So during these beautiful years at the head of Louis Vuitton, the designer has been able to bring a crazy and singular touch through its different collections while revolutionizing the image of the LV monogram. Indeed, Marc Jacobs has boosted the image of Louis Vuitton, including inviting many artists to collaborate with the brand, including her friend the director Sofia Coppola, but also the famous artists Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami.

For the presentation of his last show on Wednesday, October 2 in the Cour du Louvre, Marc Jacobs surprised his audience. Indeed accustomed to present eccentric and colorful outfits on a lively music, the New York designer has this time unveiled a very dark collection where the models were all black with the exception of jeans. An atmosphere full of emotion and nostalgia where multiple key elements of the past catwalk decorations were lacquered in black. We could then see the fountain that the designer had chosen for the 2010 winter parade, the elevator that was in the presentation of the collection in winter 2011, the carousel of summer 2012, the incredible clock of station in the winter 2012 show, the escalators that made a splash at the 2013 summer parade where the checkerboard was updated on the dresses and to finish the hotel doors we have could see during the presentation of winter 2013.

Announced by Bernard Arnault, the New York designer will complete his contract at the end of October, to devote himself thereafter to his own brand.
