Natalie Dessay takes you to the movies
A exceptional event, exceptional device ... The Daughter of the Regiment with Natalie Dessay will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York, satellite and high definition in cinemas around the world, Saturday, April 26 at 19:30 (French time).
In France, 17 cities will be concerned: Angers, Blois, Cannes, Lille, Lyon, Metz, Montpellier, Mulhouse, Nancy, Nice, Nimes, Paris, Perpignan, Thionville, Toulon, Toulouse and Périgueux.
Co-produced by the Vienna State Opera and the New York Met, The Daughter of Gaetano Donizetti's Regiment offers to Natalie Dessay a mix of comedy and bel canto.
The latter has just received, for the interpretation of this role, the supreme award for the performing arts in Britain, the Laurence Olivier Award.
At the same time, the Regimental Girl is released on DVD on April 21st. Captured during the January 2007 performances at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the show, directed by Laurent Pelly, was a huge success with the London audience: standing ovation nightly ! An event to see and see again!
