Patrimonio, white wine of Corsica

Wine region: Corsica
Registered designation of origin: Patrimonio
Seven municipalities of the island of beauty are entitled to this name: Barbaggio, Farinole, Oletta, Patrimonio, Poggio-d'Oletta, Saint-Florent and Santo-Pietro-di-Tenda. If the blends are tolerated for reds and rosés, the whites are only from Vermentino.

We recommend the Antoine Arena Bianco Gentile, produced in Patrimonio:
Vermentino is a grape that has almost disappeared, endemic to the island and perfectly adapted to this particular soil. It's a White wine high fly. This Bianco Gentile has kept its Mediterranean origins, with remarkable freshness and balance. The nose has notes of ripe white fruits, honey and spices, which become more liquorice and mineral with aeration. As intense in the nose as in the mouth, it is elegant and long.
Vintage to privilege: 2004, very good in his youth.
Indicated price : 20? about.
The good agreement: Raw and half-cooked fish, delicate cheeses with a certain freshness, inventive cuisines with floral and fruity aromas.
