Shirley MacLaine will play Coco Chanel in a TV movie
Shirley MacLaine joined the cast of the miniseries on Coco Chanel, broadcast in 2008 on France 2. Theactress will interpret the fashion icon in recent years.
Planned in two parts of 90 minutes, this fiction retraces the life of the stylist Gabrielle Channel aka Coco Chanelfrom his childhood in an orphanage to his death in 1971 at the age of 87.
For this television adaptation, theactress Barbora Bobulova (sweeper) will lend its features to the famous seamstress during her youth. Sagamore Stévenin, Olivier Sitruk, Valentina Lovovini and François Perrot enrich the cast.
Director Christian Duguay started production on December 10th. The shooting continues until March between France and Italy under the advice of Karl Lagerfeld who works closely with the team.
International production, the mini-series will also be broadcast in the United States on the Lifetime channel and in Italy on the Rai.
