The four-day week: a good solution?

What do you think of today's school?
Theschool is not suitable. When we set up the school calendar and timetables, we did not take into account the biological and psychological rhythms of children.

And the four-day week?
When we have school over four days, we study the equivalent of what we learned in five days. It desynchronizes the biological and psychological rhythms. The watchword of respect for young people is regularity. There must be no break or at least that it does not repeat. But with the four-day week, there is noschool Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. In the year, the following regularity would be required: 7 weeks of work for 2 weeks of rest. And then, when the children are cared for or go in structures like ventilated centers, it is good but if not, the week of four days generates inequalities.

Why does nobody seem to take into account the rhythms of the child?
I think it comes from a deep selfishness on the part of adults. There are economic problems too. The difficulty comes mainly from a non-perception of the importance of the rhythms of the child by theschool, parents and associations.

What would be the ideal school?
There is not really anyschool ideal but let's say that first, we must respect the periodicity on the day, the fluctuation of peaks and troughs of attention. We must lighten the days. They are much too long for the little ones. And then, school time should be proportional to age.
