The Grinberg method

The principle

The Grinberg Method is a technique of personal development learning by the body. Created in 1970 by Avi Grinberg, she aims to increase her awareness of the psychological or physical patterns that imprison us. She uses the body, breathing, movement, speech but above all it starts from the analysis of the feet, supposed to bring the memory of our experience and to represent the body as a whole, as a miniature map on which our organs appear. The method takes into account this reading of the feet as well as the past experience of the client (called client and not patient because it is not about treating), his current situation and his objectives to solve the problems.

During the exchange with the practitioner, it leads to blockages or anxieties which we try to identify the cause. The goal is to free ourselves from the defense automatisms put in place throughout our lives to face the problems in order to change them, to increase its choices, its independence and its serenity. To do this, we seek to put an end to misleading beliefs, preconceived ideas by adapting our reactions to anchor this learning in everyday life and also reduce its physical symptoms such as pain, migraines, insomnia and anxiety.

How is a session

The first meeting serves as an interview to identify the client's expectations and propose direction in the work to be done. We can then go directly to a first analysis of the feet. For this, lying on the back but the back up, we present the soles of his feet to the practitioner sitting at the end of the medical table. He observes them, touches them, analyzes their forms and deformations, and describes what he sees, asks questions. This is a discussion in deep relaxation mode. As sessions progress, the idea is to bring out the repetitive patterns that block us and to become attentive to his body through the experience of sensations felt during the interview and then learn to react differently to the same stressful stimuli.
