The playboy is Tripp (Matthew McConaughey). Unable to invest in a lasting relationship, he goes on adventures ... and manages to be dumped as soon as it goes too far. His thing: living with his parents. At 35, it's unacceptable! 
The problem is that his parents are fed up with having him at home. They need independence. To get rid of it without turning him over, they decide to hire Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker). His mission will be to charm the victim, to make him live a sincere and mature relationship, and to leave him as soon as he has matured. After which, in theory, he is supposed to want his autonomy. Only he will discover the deception too early.
If this film does not shine by its originality, we appreciate however the dynamism of Sarah Jessica Parker and, most importantly, the game of Matthew McConaughey. And when Tom Dey, director of the film, created the role of this charmer, he has obviously not skimped on the qualities: handsome, manly, elegant, smart, funny, sporty, bon vivant ... many are those who should crack for him.
