Tom Cruise should lend his features to the creator of the magazine "Playboy"

Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men, the final clash) will perform this biopic that will unravel the mysteries of the life of Hugh Hefner, former psychology student turned billionaire with the creation of the erotic magazine Playboy in December 1953.

Brian Grazer will produce the feature film via Imagine Entertainment alongside Universal Pictures Studios. John Hoffman is responsible for writing the script.

Oliver Stone (World Trade Center) was originally to make the feature film. The American filmmaker finally chose to devote himself to Pinkville, a drama about the Vietnam War.
Founded in November 1953 by Hugh Hefner, Playboy has become over the years one of the key elements of American popular culture. The French version of the magazine appeared on newsstands in 1973. The magazine is famous for its "playmates" photos on the central page.

Tom Cruise will be featured in Robert Redford's Lions and Lambs drama on 21 November next. He is currently shooting in Berlin Valkyrie under the direction of Bryan Singer.
